Lucky wandered around in the woods behind my back yard for at least two weeks and I tried to get close to him but no luck. Then one day he walked up to my fence in the back here, and he let me scratch him. He came over to the back steps and I fed him. He was all full of abscesses and looking very thin. He seemed to be very tame.
So off to the vet we went, and he had already been fixed so they just gave him some antibiotics for his abscesses. And home he came. It also turns out that he is deaf which I didn't realize for a long time since he was outside and always around. My good friend Dee was the one that really picked up on his being deaf.
Lucky did like to sit on the porch a lot. We decided that Lucky should live inside since he couldn't hear and it would be too dangerous for him to be outside and also that is probably the reason that he was so beaten up when I found him.
Lucky is very happy living inside. I do let him out every so often but don't leave him out for long. He usually comes and scratches on the door when he is ready to come in. It is very hard for a cat to be deaf since he can't tell when anyone is coming up to him etc.

Happy Thursday to all.
