Almost Wordless Wednesday

Today is Little Bit's day who came to us as a Foster cat and it was totally a foster fail. She had been hit by a car and had broken her hip so she had to have surgery which meant that she spent tons and tons of time in a cage at the vets. When she came, I put her in our spare room and she hid under the bed for a very long time. So I discovered that she was a feral cat and decided right then, I didn't want to take a chance and have someone decide she wasn't a loving warm cat and put her back in a shelter or somewhere.
She has warmed up to the Mom but on her own terms which is fine with the Mom. She does let me pat her but no picking her up and no lap time. She limps a little bit but not bad at all.
She will play with the toys and she does enjoy life. She loves to snuggle with any kitty that will let her which is mainly Maggie. She can jump up on things do all the things that cats do. She does stay inside because of her hind leg.

She fits right in with all these cats here and is a good cat.

Happy Wednesday to all.

  2. Sometimes foster fails are simply meant to be. Thimble and all three of her brothers were supposed to only be fostered by my family and me, but not a single one of them escaped the family. I am so glad that Little Bit was a foster fail for you, as she is so very lucky to have you. What a precious girl she is!

  3. You two were supposed to be together. I am grateful that Maggie enjoys snuggling with Little Bit and that she has a friend. What a fortunate girl she is and your further care of her is a loving thing to do. But you are a loving Mom always.

  11. Awww you made the best choice to have her stay with you and always be inside! Our Lucy was borderline feral when she showed up as an abandoned 6 month old and in heat. She's lovable and snuggable on HER terms! Always indoors unless on her leash that she took to immediately. She actually will go to her leash where we keep it and meow quite insistently so that we know it's time to go out! Pretty smart and knows how to get what she wants! Have a lovely day!

  28. You are so cute, Little Bit. You're the luckiest kitty in the world to have been "fostered" by The Mom. I can't imagine what would have happened if you had gone some where else.
