I am going to spend the next 21days telling about each of the 21cats that lives here
First is our Momma Kitty who is the mother of five of the other cats here. She lived over at my neighbors and was totally feral. My neighbor told me one day, that she had had kitten in their wood shed. So of course I had to go feed her and the kittens eventually. I would just leave the food in the shed since I knew I wouldn't get near her at all.
This is Momma kitty with her child Ohs who she never forgot and still remembers him. She was such a good Momma. She also had Tees and Bees who we lost to a neurological something. Anyway, the more I went over to the neighbor, the more Momma kitty got used to me being there. She had three litters of kittens. First was Boyzo, Gertrude, and Split. The second litter was Daniel and Cloe which very sadly I gave away and they disappeared. The third litter was Oh, Bees and Tees. By the third litter, she was beginning to trust me a little bit and would sometimes come over to our barn to get some food. So I set up a carrier and would feed her in the carrier and little by little she moved to the back of the carrier at which time I shut the door. That took about three weeks. So she got spayed and no more kittens.
So, it only took 8 years, but one day she just walked in the back door of our house. By this time she was staying over here all the time. She is still feral but I can scratch her right behind her ears. She loves being in the house which is just amazing to me.
