Sad day at our house.

Girl Kitty had to go to the bridge yesterday. She was one of Mom's best friends. She was here at the house the first day that moved moved here 14 years ago. She was about 8 or 9 months old.  She was very feral and sat around looking hungry so the Mom started feeding her. And she never left but she did stayed pretty much to herself and about four years ago, she moved over to living under the house next door when the people moved out. But then some more people moved in with four dogs and so she came back over to our house. She would come over here twice a day to eat.
She was very nervous about all the goings on next door so the Mom was able to catch her and put her in our spare bedroom. And then she got very tame. The mom left the door open to the room but Girl Kitty preferred to stay in her room. She didn't like being around other cats since she had been chased so many times by other cats. At one point she did move into the bathroom next to her room and here she is hanging out in the sink. Then she decided that her room was better.
Girl Kitty was a fantastic cat.

    Marg our first cat passed from heart trouble. He did not show any signs either. He had a physical in January 1999. In July 1999 Bryan called to tell me at work to tell me it appeared Milky had fainted. But was up walking. I rushed home. Off to the vet. One side of his heart was nearly non functioning. Surely that didn't happen over night..you would think we would have noticed something...

    Marg, we understand how difficult it is to loss Girl Kitty. She sounded like a gentle soul who trusted you enough in the end to come live inside. That must have been a good day!     Very touching story, I am a very emotional person and i get very sensible by such stories... she seemed like a nice cat and i suppose in the end of her life she was surrounded by those who loved her. Anyhow she is in cat heaven now and all i can say is RIP Girl Kitty.personalized pet tags
