Donkey Saturday

Poor Smoke and Joe had to be put in jail just because when donkeys or horses etc. eat too much rich grass, it affects their hooves. And Smoke has some sore hooves right now so needed to be taken off the rich grass and they are living in the other barn with just a very small place to go out in which doesn't have much grass at all. At first they were very unhappy, but they are getting used to being there now.
The weeds back there have grown into giants, so as you can see from Smoke coming into the barn.
There is that Joe boy having  a snack.

Happy Saturday to everyone.

    problem.

  5. Jail might not seem fun, Joe and Smoke, but it is for your own good. Your mom only incarcerated you because she cares! We are sending prayers and good thoughts for your hooves, Smoke!

  12. What in the world do wild horses/donkeys/burros/etc. do with no one to tell them why they feel badly and take care of them? Smoke and Joe are blessed to have you!

  13. That is very interesting. Wonder what it is in that rich grass that bothers the hooves? Hope they heal soon.

  21. I remember that from before when it happened. I wonder why grass affects their hooves like that? Does it also affect other hooved animals?
