A very Long Night.

Maggie on the left and her daughter Mahoney on the right.

Sunday evening the Mom went out in the back yard to just be outside for a little while and the back door didn't close tightly.. So Maggie and Little Bit who are great friends, both escaped.
Well Little Bit had a great time rolling in the dirt and eating grass and finally after about 30 minutes, came back in the house.
But not that silly Maggie. She turned back into a feral cat and first got under  the house and the next time I checked, she was at the bottom of the back steps and took one look at the Mom and took off running. She seemed to be scared of the Mom. So around 3 A.M. Mom opened the back door just a crack so Maggie couldn't see her and she came in. Silly Maggie. And she is just fine inside, her usual friendly self. Cats are such a mystery.

Good Tuesday to all..

  4. My goodness, our furbabies sure do like to give us the occasional heart attack, don't they? Well, you are such a dedicated mom, and because of that Little Bit and Maggie are both back inside, safe and sound. Now, all you kitties behave so that your mom can have a good rest! Purrs to all!

  17. The kind of behaviour you are describing you are describing pretty much sums up what happens to our Beebs if he gets out. Except he is even wilder! So glad Maggie came in at last!

  33. Ugh. Note the part of the Mom opening the door at 3 a.m. Yeah. We don't sleep when the goofs don't come in. I used to wake the kitties up all day long when they came in from a night of gallivanting.
