Feral Cat Friday

Hi there, Bees here. As most of you know, I got really sick with some kind of dizzy disease. So the Person decided that I should just stay in the house. I got better and better as time went by and I could jump up on things and run around etc.
Well one night about four nights ago, somehow the Person didn't shut the back door totally. It is a funny door and doesn't always catch. She is very careful most of the time but this time, it didn't get shut. So out I went.
The Person did not know I was gone until morning and she almost had a heart attack. She cried and cried BUT it has worked out so far.

Hi there Momma kitty here. Normally I eat my breakfast on the front porch with those kitties. This morning, I was not on the front porch so of course the Person got all nervous about where I had gone. So she gets the food and goes out the back door to feed the cats in the back yard and there I was with Bees. Before he got shut up in the house, he was totally a Momma's Boy so I was so glad to see him again. So we had breakfast together. The Person was very happy that we were together again.

A further note from The Person, and that is that Bees comes home every afternoon and the two of us sit on the back steps while he eats. We have a great time together. He gets his scritches etc. I asked him if he wanted to come back in and said he didn't think so right now.

Have yourself a truly wonderful day.

  15. Oh we know how hard your person worked to get Bees used to being inside but you know things happen for a reason and it appears he is ok and eating and happy. I expect being inside taught him the MEANING of home too. Hugs Madi your bfff

  28. Momma and Bees have got to quit giving you a near heart attack. Glad they are both safe and sound after giving you such a fright. This is why we turned our deck into a catio. Twelve of our 17 kitties have had outdoor privileges, but whenever someone did not come in at night or was even a few hours late, I drove myself crazy with worry. Now only the three oldest have these privileges. The younger five don't get further than the catio unless a door doesn't close (as was your case). Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
